Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American
actress. Her role includes daytime television, episodic guest performances, as
well as TV-produced movies. Sofer was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award by CBS in
1995 for playing Lois Cerullo, the role she played on the soap opera General
Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role in the CBS soap drama The Bold and The
Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) to Susan Sofer and
Martin Sofer. Martin Sofer is a Conservative Rabbi. When her parents divorced
Sofer's family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer emigrated with
her brother David and father to Teaneck in New Jersey. However, Sofer lived in
Western Pennsylvania as a child. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania
where their father was director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended
the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in
Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father
was the rabbi of Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High School
in 1998, she pursued her studies at Montclair State College. Sofer first played
Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. In 1993, she was the manager of the
band. Her first major role was playing Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap drama
Loving (1988-91). Perhaps her most famous role is Lois Cerullo, a nurse on
General Hospital from December 15 in 1993 to September 24 the 24th of
September, 1996. She later returned as guest-starring (February 7-17 September
30, 1997 - October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for
Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series for her performance as Lois.
Sofer was cast in CBS' soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a
role she had just created. The first episode premiered in July 2013. Sofer has
appeared as a supporting cast member or guest star in a number of high-profile
primetime TV shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. Her first episode
aired on July 12.
