2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps (also known as 2 Chainz), is a popular American rapper and hip hop artist. He is a Georgia native and formed the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle with a friend from high school. Their debut album, entitled Supply and Demand was a modest success. Epps later released 'Based on the T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was an enormous success and debuted at number 1 on US Billboard 200. It was an enormous hit, selling 147,000 copies within the first week! Following the release of the album He hasn't been looking back and has now become one of the top rappers in the US. He has been honored with six Grammy awards, and has been awarded one for his hit song "No Problem". In 2013, he sparked controversy when he was caught with marijuana and promethazine onboard the flight departing from Los Angeles International Airport. But his brush with the law hasn't impacted his popularity. His fourth and current studio album, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" was came out in June of 2017. "Based on an R.U. Story', 2 Chainz's debut studio album can be considered to be his debut major album and his biggest success. The album was a big success and reached the first position on the US Billboard 200, as it sold 147,000 copies within a week. The album sold 623,000 copies in one year. It was nominated for the 55th Grammy Awards for 'Best Rap Album'. The majority of reviews were mixed. 2 Chainz married Kesha Wade in 2013. The couple are proud parents to three children Heavenly, Harmony, Halo. Despite having a successful career, he is also notorious for his brushes with law enforcement. He has been arrested numerous times for drug possession.
